Meeting Rules

  • There is only to be one sound input(microphone) and one source of sound(speakers) for the live webex meeting in the Commissioners chambers. No phone conference units, mobile devices, computers are allowed to join the same webex meeting to avoid feedback issues.
  • Problems: Audio misconfiguration. Check it BEFORE joining the real session. Choosing a headset is better than build-in speakers on your computer.
  • It is recommended that you use a set of headphones with a built-in microphone.
  • When you enter the meeting you will be automatically muted. Keep your microphone on mute when not speaking (to avoid disturbance from the external environment). We will unmute participants as necessary.
  • Be polite. If you need to interrupt, do it in a respectful way: Option 1: Type your question/comment in the Chat panel. Option 2: Raise your hand in the Participant panel and wait for the host to call on you.
  • We ask that only one person speaks at a time as the current speakers icon/video feed will appear on the screen for all participants to see.

  • Please also note:

  • Calling in on your cell phone while also using your computer causes audio feedback. If you need to use both please make sure the speakers on your computer are muted/turned off to avoide feedback in the meeting.
  • Some computers will automatically turn on your webcam if you have one. Please remember that all people who join the webex meeting will be able to see you unless you disable your webcam in the webex settings at the bottom of your screen.
  • All meetings are recorded and will be posted to the Baker County Facebook page after the meeting is compleated.
