It is the goal of the Baker School-Based Health Center Program to provide age-appropriate, culturally sensitive, and accessible health care to students in order to ensure the readiness to learn healthy lifestyle choices, to reduce the incidence of behavior problems, and to improve school attendance by providing access to health care services on-site, in the school.

Staffing

Appointments are made for the physician that comes to Baker High School School-Based Health Center several times a week. The Health Center is staffed by a registered nurse and a public health assistant five days a week.

Consent for Care

According to Oregon State law, students age 15 and older may obtain services from a school-based health center without a parent or guardian's consent, but we encourage students to notify and involve parents or guardians in all aspects of their health care. Parents or guardians are contacted in an emergency or whenever indicated.

Appointments

Drop-in appointments are available Monday through Friday. Appointments may also be scheduled.

Fees

Most health services we provide are free. However, sports physicals are $20.00 and immunization fees vary according to type of vaccine.
Our Services are available to all people living in Baker County regardless of age, race, sex, creed, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability.
